A Letter to Me is a unique experience that allows you to write a personal letter to your future self. You can attend one of our Long Island workshops or write your letter online. We’ll securely store your letter and mail it back to you approximately one year later.
Our workshops are hosted at carefully selected venues throughout Port Jefferson, Stony Brook, Setauket, East Setauket, St. James, Smithtown, Miller Place, Mount Sinai, and surrounding North Shore communities. New locations are added throughout the year.
Most workshops last approximately two hours, giving you plenty of time to relax, reflect, and write without feeling rushed.
Your workshop includes:
- Premium stationery and envelopes
- Quality pens
- Optional writing prompts
- Complimentary bottled water
- Light snacks
- Secure storage of your letter
- Mailing your letter approximately one year later
Absolutely not. Your letter is personal. No one is expected to read their letter aloud or share what they’ve written. Online letters are copied, pasted, printed and put into an envelope immediately.
Yes. During our workshops, your letter is placed inside your envelope, and the envelope is wax sealed in your presence before being securely stored. For online letters, your submission is printed, folded and placed into an envelope immediately.
Yes! If you can’t attend one of our Long Island workshops, you can write your letter through our secure online experience, and we’ll print, store, and mail it back to you approximately one year later.
At this time, letters are mailed approximately one year after they’re written or submitted. We may add additional mailing date options in the future.
No. At this time, we only mail letters to valid United States mailing addresses.
No problem. Simply visit our Update My Address page before your scheduled mailing date so we can send your letter to your new U.S. mailing address.
If your letter is returned as undeliverable, we’ll make a reasonable attempt to contact you using the email address you provided. If we’re unable to obtain an updated mailing address, your letter will eventually be securely destroyed to protect your privacy.
