Mailing Policy
Effective Date: July 26, 2026
At A Letter to Me, every future letter is carefully stored and prepared for mailing with great care. Please review our Mailing Policy to understand how your future letter will be delivered.
Mailing Schedule
Future letters are generally mailed approximately one year after the date of your workshop or online letter submission.
While we make every effort to mail letters on or around their scheduled mailing date, actual delivery dates may vary due to weekends, holidays, weather conditions, postal delays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Mailing Addresses
Future letters are currently mailed only to valid United States mailing addresses.
It is your responsibility to provide a complete and accurate mailing address and to notify us of any address changes before your scheduled mailing date using our Update My Address page.
A Letter to Me is not responsible for letters that cannot be delivered because of an incorrect, incomplete, or outdated mailing address.
Returned Mail
If your future letter is returned to us by the United States Postal Service (USPS) as undeliverable, we will make one reasonable attempt to contact you using the email address you provided.
If we do not receive an updated mailing address within a reasonable period, your unopened letter may be securely destroyed to protect your privacy.
USPS Responsibility
Once your future letter has been accepted by the United States Postal Service (USPS), responsibility for delivery transfers to USPS.
While we carefully prepare and mail every letter, we cannot control the handling, transportation, or delivery of mail once it has been accepted by USPS.
If your letter is delayed, lost, damaged, misdelivered, or marked as delivered but cannot be located, you must contact USPS directly or submit a Missing Mail Search through USPS.
We are happy to provide any available mailing information that may assist with your USPS inquiry.
A Letter to Me is not responsible for letters that are delayed, lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed, or misdelivered after they have been accepted by USPS. We are unable to retrieve, replace, recreate, resend, or refund letters that are lost or mishandled by the postal service.
Mailing Delays
Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
USPS delivery may be affected by weather, holidays, staffing shortages, transportation issues, or other events beyond our control.
